About The Daily Cynema

Hi folks, my name is Cyn. I’m mom to a laid-back little guy named Parker and a sweet baby girl, Lexi, who joined us in April of 2011.

In Greece during our summer vacation.

We also have four fur kids and our house is affectionately known as ‘the zoo’ to our friends.

Clockwise from top left: Nona, Chewie, Luna, Payton. Both pups are Cardigan Corgis. The cats are Shelter kitties.

I’m full-blooded Greek by heritage and neurotic by birth. I’ve been married for 8 years to a guy whom I affectionately refer to as “the Irishman” due to his heritage, overall paleness and status as a beer aficionado. We recently moved from Florida’s urban jungle to the quiet mountains of North Carolina.

Approaching home…

While it’s only slightly larger than a one stoplight town, our new home has most of what you need and nothing that you don’t. This suits me just fine as I’m a self-proclaimed hermit who is happiest having every second of my day filled with mothering, work (I’m a professor) and exercise. I’m also an organizational freak who loves to cook with a deep-seeded need to travel.

The Daily Cynema originally started over four years ago as a place to share family news (since we’ve spawned the only grandchilden thus far) and to share my fitness journey as I trained for my first marathon (entitled, “Operation Insanity”).

After the Disney Marathon with my brother.

Since then, it’s evolved into a place where I share recipes, organizational tips, general fitness advice that’s worked for me, training plans for my various races and general family mayhem. The Daily Cynema is my life, uninterrupted.

So, welcome to the show! Won’t you have a seat and stay awhile?

Thanks for stopping by, Chloe! You can’t miss me – just look for the 6′ tall Greek girl. In a room full of women, I’m usually a head above everyone else!
